Jason Winocour has more than a decade of experience in communications and public relations. Having held positions in government, the non-profit and for-profit sectors, Jason specializes in creating and executing grassroots, cause-related public relations programs that impact the community and generate media coverage. As the supervisor on a host of consumer product accounts for 3M, Jason has successfully organized and executed high-profile, cause-related public relations campaigns with the American Lung Association, City of Hope Cancer Center and the National Program for Playground Safety.

Jason puts his marketing and public relations experience to good use as Hunter Public Relations’ Director of Media Relations. In this capacity, he provides strategic insight and counsel, helping account teams throughout the agency garner media coverage for its clients in an increasingly competitive environment.

Prior to joining Hunter Public Relations, Jason served as Director of Public Relations at the Mayor’s Voluntary Action Center of New York City. In this capacity, he created joint volunteer initiatives with several large companies, including Chase Manhattan Bank and Phillips-Van Heusen. After a two-year stint in the Mayor’s Office, Jason became a Manager of Media Outreach at The Advertising Council and was responsible for placing the organization’s award-winning public service advertising messages in high-profile media outlets.

Jason holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York City Clothing Bank and is a former Co-chair of the Mayor’s Volunteer Center’s Task Force on Public Relations.

Born in Queens, NY, Jason grew up in the New York and Boston areas. He currently resides in New York City.
