William Montana is a commercial real estate advisor to businesses. He provides real estate advisory services including strategic planning and acquisition and disposition services to major corporations, institutions, and partnerships located in the New York area and nationally. Bill has represented a wide array of firms and is especially experienced in representing law firms, technology companies, insurance companies, and not-for-profit organizations. Since joining Studley in 1996, Mr. Montana has transacted more than one million square feet in transactions. He began his commercial real estate career in 1988 at Newmark & Company, one of New York City’s largest landlord representative firms. During his tenure there, he helped establish the firm’s Downtown office. He was then recruited to join the Edward S. Gordon Company where he spent four years negotiating several large headquarters lease transactions before being asked to join Studley. Mr. Montana is Chairman of the Young Men’s/ Women’s Real Estate Association of New York and through his involvement with that organization is engaged in many philanthropic and community outreach endeavors. He runs an annual Habitat for Humanity Build Day, a Central Park Cleanup Day, a Blood Drive and several other community outreach programs. He is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and is a member of its Board of Governors, its Commercial Brokerage Division Board of Directors, its ethics committee and serves on two of its rental conditions committees. Bill is an active philanthropist. He has been an ardent fund-raiser for the Buonoconti Fund to cure paralysis, the Starlight Foundation, The Tuberous Sclerosis Society and the United Nations Development Fund. He has participated in the New York City One-to-One Mentoring Program and supports Business Executives for National Security. He is quoted frequently in business publications, speaks at real estate Symposiums and has written several published articles. Bill lives in Greenwich, CT, with his wife Jan and daughter Theresa. |
