The New York City Clothing Bank Advisory Board has years of collective experience in the retail, non-profit and business industry. The New York City Clothing Bank is a subsidiary of Peter Young Housing Industries and Treatment (PYHIT) and is the logical outgrowth of the tireless efforts of our founder, Father Peter Young, and his experience in working for over 48 years with persons in recovery from substance abuse and alcohol addictions in the criminal justice and homeless services systems. The program has successfully served thousands of individuals across the state and enabled many to successfully reintegrate back into society. Father Young’s aftercare network, referred to as the “Glidepath To Recovery,” effectively addresses the obstacles to a successful recovery by providing guidance in the way of professional treatment, a safe place to stay, and a meaningful job.

We differentiate ourselves from other not-for-profits by placing great significance on the value of work at the earliest possible stage and by giving recognition to the fact that a job will help the individual develop the motivation to change, provide dignity and self-respect, and instill hope for a productive future. By bridging the talents of our Advisory Board, we have developed a keen understanding of using unique processes and systems that guarantee growth and advancement. Below are a few of the companies where the executives hold groundbreaking roles as innovators and leaders preparing the New York City Clothing Bank for success.
